Thanks for joining me!
Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
Thanks for coming to visit my site! I’m a young Christian professional working as a teacher and living near Washington DC. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, students, exploring the city, and eating Peruvian food (I am half Peruvian and half Puerto Rican! We all know Peruvian food is THE BEST though).
Why I started this blog…
Since I was a little girl I always loved to read and write. I remember being in elementary school writing story after story and loving every second of it. Most of my younger years were spent lost in different books that sparked my imagination. Growing into adolescence, my love for reading never stopped – however , I did stop writing. Fast forward into young adulthood and college, I was forced to write papers but realized that I enjoyed it. When I got my Master’s Degree my favorite part was writing a 30 page paper that was required for the degree. Most people dreaded it, but I loved doing research on a topic I was passionate about and then being able to write about it! That was when I recognized that I should be doing something more with writing, and I realized it is a passion that was long lost inside of me.
What better way than to mix my two passions- writing and Jesus. God has been prompting my heart for a few years to write for Him, but I have never taken the time to share anything that I’ve written online. Due to a mixture of procrastination and fears of judgement, I never made a blog although I have been dreaming of it for years (sort of embarrassed to admit that but I guess that’s what this is all about). In my recent commitment to become more dedicated and overcome fears, what better time to make a blog than now? This blog will be a mixture of my personal life and inspirational Christ-centered articles. My goal is to encourage people-specifically women-by my life, failures, strengths, and most importantly-the Word of God.
I am on a journey to love who God has created me to be and hope I can inspire you to do the same. I think if I can give just one person hope- then I have accomplished a lot! I hope you enjoy.
